These make the site work. They hold no advertising identifier and need no consent.

bo_session — keeps you signed in: Thirty days. Not readable by scripts.
bo_voter — your ballot when signed out: A random identifier so your picks survive a refresh. Not readable by scripts.
bo_oauth_state and bo_oauth_verifier — the Google sign-in handshake: Deleted the moment you come back from Google.
bo_area — the town you appear to be in: A place name such as sharjah, kept for thirty days to offer you things nearby.
bo_cc — the country you appear to be in: Two letters, such as AE, kept for thirty days so we know whether we must ask you before using analytics. The same value for everyone in that country.
bo_locale — your language: Your chosen interface language, so translations come back in it. One year.
bo_consent — your answer on this page: Stored in your browser (not sent to us) so we do not ask again.

_ga and _ga_7G6LJSR7JS — Google Analytics: Count visits and the pages read, so we can tell what is useful. Up to two years. Set only once you allow analytics (in the EU, UK and Switzerland) or until you turn it off above (elsewhere). Google processes this for us; we do not send it your name, email or anything you write, and advertising features are switched off.
bo_signin — a sign-in just happened: Holds only “google” or “email”, lasts one minute and is deleted as soon as the next page reads it, so we can count sign-ins.
Ahrefs Web Analytics — no cookie: Counts page views without cookies or any identifier stored on your device, so nothing about you is kept between visits.
