We visit Chincoteague every year, and we always make sure we book a trip with Captain Barry. It's the highlight of our trip, the kids learn and have fun, and he's always knowledgeable and entertaining. A must if you're visiting the island!

If you love Chincoteague, and my family does, everything you love about summers here are rolled into a cruise with Captain Barry. My kids set their clocks to it each year. They've been on the cruise 9 of the past 10 summers, and still complain about the one we missed 7 years ago. I fully expect we'll keep coming back until both are in college, likely after. Maybe you're wondering: Don't they get tired of doing roughly the same tour again and again? Not even a little bit. The coastline is always changing, the cruise is like a greatest hits album, and the good Captain is always full of surprises. We couldn't give the cruise a higher recommendation.

Captain Barry was great! Just our family on the boat, he catered to our young kids. He was knowledgeable but engaging. He did great keeping everyone's attention. We got off the boat on several islands, saw a rocket launch, dolphins, caught fish and crabs, ate an oyster. We asked our discriminating kids what they thought, "so much fun! Can we go again?" What was the best part? "No best part, it was all too good!"
