These ‘Cosmic Cliffs’ Are the Edge of a Star-Forming Region Thousands of Light-Years Away
Webb's image of NGC 3324 in the Carina Nebula turns a wall of gas and dust into what looks like a mountain range under a star-filled sky. The apparent cliffs are part of an enormous stellar nursery roughly 7,600 light-years from Earth. Source: https://science.nasa.gov/asset/webb/cosmic-cliffs-in-the-carina-nebula-nircam-image/
