The practical Dubai Mall parking guide
Choose the right car park before you join the traffic: which zones remain complimentary, which use Salik, when charges begin, and where valet, electric charging and the easiest access actually sit.
Start here
For anyone who wants to arrive near the right part of Dubai Mall — without paying for an avoidable long stay.
This guide is for shoppers, diners, cinema-goers and visitors who want a clear parking plan before they reach Downtown. It separates officially complimentary zones from Salik-linked paid zones, and it makes clear when valet or a taxi is the more sensible choice.
Heading in for lunch or a fountain-view dinner? Pair this with our Best Restaurants in Dubai Mall guide so your parking choice matches where you are actually eating.
Quick answer
Dubai Mall parking in 30 seconds
Do not choose a car park just because the first entrance appears. Think about your destination, how long you will stay and whether you have active Salik.
Officially complimentary, with a link bridge to the mall; particularly useful when your route suits the Al Khail Road side.
✨ Best free option for the Downtown sideFountain Views ParkingOfficially complimentary, but availability is the real variable. Check live status before relying on it at busy times.
🛍 Best for Fashion AvenueFashion ParkingClosest by name and direction, but a Salik-linked paid zone after the official free period.
🎬 Best for cinema-side plansCinema ParkingThe natural paid-zone route for cinema/the Village-side visits, with a P3 valet drop available.
⚡ Best if you need chargingZabeel, Cinema or FashionDubai Mall lists charging at Zabeel P2/P3, Cinema P3 and LG Fashion Parking.
🚘 Best low-friction optionOfficial valetUseful when time, accessibility or a high-value shopping/dining plan matters more than the valet fee.

Choose the right parking route for your plan
“We are shopping Fashion Avenue or have a premium dinner.”
Start with Fashion Parking or use one of the official Fashion Avenue valet points. Be realistic about duration: it is one of the Salik-linked paid zones after the free window. See Fashion Parking →
“We are seeing a film, using the Village side or need a simple main-mall route.”
Use Cinema Parking. It is paid after the free period, but its name matches the purpose — do not park remotely just to chase a short saving. See Cinema Parking →
“We want complimentary parking and do not mind a short link bridge.”
Try Zabeel Parking. The official Zabeel page says it connects to Dubai Mall by a roughly two-minute immersive link bridge. See Zabeel route →
“We are on the Fountain Views / Downtown side.”
Try Fountain Views Parking when live availability supports it. It is officially complimentary, but do not rely on it for a tightly timed booking without checking first. See Fountain Views route →
“We are visiting for most of the day.”
Plan the zone and duration before you enter. In Grand, Cinema and Fashion, charges jump after the official free period and the tariff is flat by time slab, not incremental. See the fee checker →
“We have a stroller, luggage, limited time or a special booking.”
Use official valet at a confirmed drop point. The paid-parking charge does not apply on top of valet, but valet pricing itself varies by location and day. See valet points →

Fees & Salik
What Dubai Mall parking costs — and when it is free
Grand, Cinema and Fashion are the official paid zones. The first four hours Monday–Thursday and first six hours Friday–Sunday are complimentary; rates below are flat duration slabs, not stacked hourly additions.
Mon–Thu paid zones
Grand · Cinema · Fashion
Fri–Sun paid zones
Grand · Cinema · Fashion
Public holidays: Dubai Mall’s published terms state there is no free-period exemption in the paid zones. Check the live terms before treating a holiday like a normal weekend.
Parking fee checker
Use this for a single stay of up to 24 hours in a paid zone. It is an estimate based on the official flat slabs above — check the live official terms for public holidays, changes or unusual situations.
Salik essentials: Dubai Mall’s terms say paid-zone fees are read automatically without a cash gate and deducted from a prepaid Salik account. The official FAQ says paid-zone users, including international-plate vehicles, need an active Salik tag and account. If the balance is insufficient, the transaction may appear pending until the account is recharged.
The parking routes
Which Dubai Mall car park should you actually use?
These are decision routes, not promises of a vacant space. Use the official live parking page and mall app on the day, then follow on-site signs rather than forcing an old plan through Downtown traffic.
Fashion Parking
The directional match for Fashion Avenue, high-end shopping and a polished restaurant reservation in that part of the mall.
- Best for: Fashion Avenue shopping, fashion-side restaurants and valet-led visits.
- Watch: First four Mon–Thu / six Fri–Sun hours free, then paid slabs apply.
- Useful detail: Dubai Mall lists electric charging at LG Fashion Parking; Fashion valet points include P3 and P6.
Cinema Parking
The uncomplicated named route for cinema-side visits, the Village area and a main-mall plan where you value proximity over a free-zone walk.
- Best for: Reel Cinemas, activities and cinema-side pick-up/drop-off logistics.
- Watch: Same paid-zone free periods and slabs as Fashion and Grand.
- Useful detail: Dubai Mall lists electric charging at P3 Cinema and valet at Cinema P3.
Zabeel Parking
The strongest starting point when cost matters and you are comfortable with a short connection into the main mall.
- Best for: Value-led visits, Zabeel-side access, EV charging and drivers approaching via Al Khail Road.
- Access: Dubai Mall describes a roughly two-minute walk across the link bridge.
- Useful detail: The official Zabeel page cites 3,000 spaces across seven levels and valet availability.
Fountain Views Parking
The free-zone option to consider when your actual plan suits the Fountain Views / Downtown side — but the live occupancy picture matters more than the label.
- Best for: A location-led Downtown plan where availability appears live before you leave.
- Watch: Complimentary does not mean guaranteed vacancy, especially around evenings, weekends and events.
- Practical move: Open the official live parking page before committing to the turn-off.
Grand Parking
One of the three official paid zones. It can be the right practical entry when your current route or mall map directs you there — just plan around the time slab.
- Best for: General main-mall access when it matches your route or availability.
- Watch: Same official free periods and paid slabs as Cinema and Fashion.
- Do not assume: A receipt does not create extra free parking according to the official FAQ.
Official valet
Choose valet for convenience, not as a parking-fee loophole. The official FAQ says paid-parking charges are not added on top of valet, but valet fees themselves apply and vary by point/day.
- Published drop points: Fashion Avenue VIP Boulevard, Fashion P3, Fashion P6, Cinema P3, Chinatown main entrance and Zabeel P5.
- Best for: Time-sensitive bookings, limited mobility, luggage, stroller-heavy plans or premium shopping.
- Always check: Current valet price, operating status and pick-up process before arrival.
Avoid simple mistakes
The rules that catch people out
Re-entry within 90 minutes
Dubai Mall’s published terms say you do not receive a fresh complimentary window if you re-enter within 90 minutes of exiting a paid zone. After 90 minutes, the visit is treated as a new entry.
A receipt does not reset parking
The official FAQ says a purchase receipt does not create free parking beyond the standard paid-zone complimentary period.
Do not assume a public-holiday free period
The published terms say public holidays have no exemption in the paid zones. Check the live official terms before you drive.
Salik needs to be ready
Paid-zone fees are automatically charged to Salik. Make sure the tag/account and balance are in order before a long visit, including in a rental or international-plate scenario.
Use Find Vehicle, not a memory test
The Dubai Mall app includes a Find Vehicle feature. Enter your car details there, or use customer care if you lose the car park location.
Sometimes do not park at all
For a short peak-time dinner, Careem/Uber may be the calmer choice. Dubai Mall publishes designated pick-up and drop-off points for Fashion, Cinema, Zabeel and Lower Ground.
Plan the whole visit
Electric vehicles, rideshare and accessibility
Open this before you arrive with an EV, a child, a wheelchair or a rideshare plan
- EV charging: Dubai Mall lists stations in Zabeel P2 and P3, Cinema P3 and LG Fashion Parking. Check current operating status before planning a charge around a tight appointment.
- Careem / Uber pick-up: Dubai Mall publishes pick-up points at Lower Ground near du, P3 Cinema outside The Village, P4 Fashion Lobby and P3 Zabeel Taxi Stand.
- Careem / Uber drop-off: The mall lists P1 Fashion Parking Main Lobby, Chinatown Main Entrance and P3 Zabeel Taxi Stand.
- People of Determination: Dubai Mall’s parking terms list vehicles exempt from Salik fees, including People of Determination and emergency/public-service categories. Confirm current eligibility and documentation directly if that affects your plan.
- Valet: For a smoother arrival, use a published valet point rather than trying to make an unsuitable free-zone walk work for your group.
What to request / know: For a restaurant reservation, ask which mall zone or valet point is most sensible for that specific venue. “Dubai Mall” is too broad when a table is in Fashion Avenue, Fountain Views or near a particular lobby.
